Meet our Fee Earners


Bill Boyes was the Law Society Council member for North East London from 1996 until 2005. He qualified in 1973 and is a member of the Legal Aid Practitioners Group and the Law Society’s Family Law Panel. He practises in the areas if civil litigation, family and conveyancing.


Shobha Naik was admitted in 1996 and specialises in Housing and Family work. Shobha is fluent in Gujerati.


John Selby is a member of London Criminal Courts Solicitors Association. Previously a principal of Montague Gardner & Selby of Dalston. He is an experienced criminal practitioner and member of several police station and court duty solicitor schemes.


Gill Noury is on the Lord Chancellor's Panel for child abduction work and has been a member of various working parties on child abduction including ones established by the House of Commons and the Institute for Advanced Legal Studies. Gill is fluent in French.


David O’Brien is a trainee who started with the firm in October 2007. His main area of practice will be civil litigation.

 

Stephen Friday is a member of the Law Advisory Panels of De Montfort University and the College of Law at Store Street, London. He is also Honoray Industrial Advisor to the London Metropolitan University and chairman in the Black Solicitors Network. He specialises in conveyancing.


Naureen Matlib joined the firm as a trainee solicitor in September 2003 and qualified as a solicitor in September 2005. Naureen has experience in conveyancing (including shared ownership work), civil litigation and wills and probate.


Nicolette is a paralegal who administers the criminal department and acts in family cases, especially care proceedings.


Rubina Begum is a trainee solicitor who will be admitted in September 2008. She has experience in conveyancing, civil litigation, wills and family matters. 


From time to time work which would normally be done by a fee earner may be carried out by secretaries or legal administrators if this will reduce the cost to a client.
