Percy Short & Cuthbert is a firm of solicitors established in the Holloway area in North London for more than one hundred years. We are proud to be a “High Street practice” looking after the needs of private individuals and small businesses. Unlike many firms we still act for legally aided clients in criminal, family and housing cases. We have a good working knowledge of many areas of law but if we do not consider that we are capable of advising properly in a specialist area of law we will recommend you to another suitable firm if you so wish. We try to offer a personal service where your case will be handled exclusively or primarily by one fee earner and we endeavour to return any telephone messages and respond to letters within 24 hours.

The Holloway area has changed dramatically since the firm was established but we firmly believe that we can provide a service valued by our clients, as did our predecessors in the firm. Our clients are primarily, but not exclusively, based in the vicinity of our office. However we have others living and working throughout England and from time to time we are instructed by or on behalf of clients living abroad.

Doing our best for and being fair to clients is central to our business. We offer continuity in a changing world and over 95% of our work comes from recommendations or from clients for whom we have previously acted.

Whilst we believe in tradition, we realise that we must encompass change. Over recent years we have moved to modern offices and implemented new technology and ways of working. No doubt there will be further changes, some of which cannot yet be predicted, and we will strive to do what is best for our clients and the firm.
